Default PvE or PvP

All i have been playing is pve so far in the game. And i was wondering whats so great about pvp. I mean im not saying it sucks im just asking. And if i do decide to make a pvp character what should he be. I like warriors cuz thats what i am in pve and im also a elementalist for secondary. Im a Level 19. Whats the main point of pvp. I mean it would be really cool to make it to the hall of heroes but do i even really have a chance. Please reply.

Ok Ill give you my opinion........

Im at the ring of fire with my first character. Each mission does get tougher and requires pretty tight team play. And I do enjoy beating the tough map.s But, its map after map of mobs in their little groups, you pull them and kill them over and over pretty much. Gotta play them smart, but the same tactic gets boring due to the endless repetition.

Our guild recently started engaging in GvG. Now that can be a real challenge. Play aginst some people with real brains and match wits. Create team builds and counters. Now that is exciting!

First, eventually you can take the PvE character in PvP unless you want to gear a PvP only char but that's not necessary. Also PvP onlies can well only PvP.

Secondly PvP is different set of challenges and it opens other oppurtunities. Its one half of the game and very fun and challenging half of the game but I going to say something that many strictly PvP onlies will come here and sayl I am so completely wrong and a noob for even thinking it: PvP does get repetitive after time as well. Too many PvPers for some reason attack PvE as if they were the plague. The common phrase that seems to ring from out the rigid PvPer's mouth is "If you want to grind, play <insert other game, usually WoW>" For some reason there are way too many PvPers that think exploring and enjoying the PvE side is a grind, don't know what the issue is but it gets to them for some reason.

Personnally both sides of the game offer breaks and some differences in game play. PvE you play quests and missions and find nice new baubble whereever you go, great sense of team play and different rewards for missions and quest completed. PvP, you get to match wits against other Humans and see if what you think and put together can do some damage. They each are just as enjoyable so if you haven't tried PvP, you need to try it a couple of times (it takes a bit of getting used and experience to know what builds work best and what those build roles are).

I know why pvp's called pve grind it's because thats HOW they see it. All the want is the end thing so they don't enjoy it and therefore its all grinding to them. My reply to pvp's who say if i want to grind go play wow is if you want to pvp go play HL2 or any of the other 000's of lame fps's out there. In them there is NO grind to get skills or weapons SO WHY are you playing guild wars ? PVPers manage to ruin SWG and now thier here and trying to ruin GW too. Well at least they won't be able to ruin DDO (i hope) as there will be NO PVP YEA.
